An insight into our Evaluation System
-
Evaluation Approach: - The University adopts a relative grading system based on a ten-point Letter grades system. Each letter grade reflects the performance level in a course and contributes to the grade point calculation for SGPA and CGPA. Theory and practical papers are both evaluated out of 100 marks each, with Term End Examinations carrying a 70% weightage and Internal Assessment accounting for 30%.
-
Assignment Process: - Students can access assignments on the Learning Management System portal for download. They can choose between online quiz participation or in-person testing at the University Campus. Further details will be accessible on the CU ODL website.
-
Term End Examinations: - The University schedules term end examinations in June and December at designated Examination Centres.
-
Notification for Term End Exams: - Comprehensive notifications will be available on the University website and University Campus Notice board.
-
University ID Card and e-Hall Ticket: - Students are required to carry their University ID Card and e-Hall ticket (provided online) during term end exams.
-
Term End Exam Form: - After confirming eligibility, students need to complete the online examination form and submit the exam fee. The e-Hall ticket will be accessible for download on the web portal, accompanied by detailed instructions and the date sheet.
-
Re-Evaluation Process: - Students can request re-evaluation of a course paper through online application and payment of specified fees within University-set timeframes. If re-evaluation results in a marks increase of more than ten percent (10%), the re-evaluation fee will be refunded.
-
Term End Results Announcement: - Term End Results will be published on the University ODL website's exam section. Students will not receive separate notifications regarding this.
